Maja Vavpotič

Maja Vavpotič is a visual artist living in Ljubljana, working as an independent artist, designer and illustrator. She graduated in multimedia production (IAM) in 2018 and is now studying printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, where she directs her practice towards contemporary art and her own artistic language.

Her work explores communities, collectives and contemporary ways of being together, and the relationship between the individual and the group. She is especially interested in moments when a sense of connection is interwoven with alienation, uncertainty and the search for one's own place in contemporary society.
