Žiga Testen graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, completed a master's degree in curating at Konstfack University and was a participant at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Since 2013 he has lived in Melbourne, Australia.
As a critic and lecturer he contributes regularly to academic discourse in Australia and abroad, and currently leads a studio on the master's programme in visual communication at RMIT University in Melbourne. He also writes about graphic design and design history, curates exhibitions and edits publications in the field.
