Lana Požlep is an interdisciplinary artist working in photography, sculpture and installation. Her practice explores transformation and urban space, drawing on architectural practices, non-places, ruins, the idea of support and personal memory. She combines building materials with photography to create spatial installations, and by recontextualising objects and environments she examines the interplay of materiality, history, place and meaning.
Her work has been shown at Photon Gallery, Galerija P74 and the Celje Centre for Contemporary Arts, among others. She also works in a duo with Hana Podvršič, whose work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana. In 2024 she and her classmates received the Student Prešeren Award for the project Ponjava 4.
